Beit Emet Congregation
Beit Emet is a welcoming fellowship of those who love both the Torah and Yeshua Messiah, located in Kelso, Washington, where we gather every Sabbath to engage in worship and to study the Torah. Our congregation is deeply committed to upholding the teachings of Torah, alongside our faith in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ). We believe in creating a nurturing environment where individuals can explore the truth and grow in their relationship with God through fellowship, learning, and prayer.

Core Beliefs that Guide Us
The foundation of Beit Emet is built upon the principles of the Torah and soul saving Faith, through Grace, in Yeshua Messiah.
-
We believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah promised to us by the prophets of Israel, and that He is eternal, without beginning and without end, and that He is YHVH (God) in the flesh.
-
We affirm that Salvation comes only from trust in Christ, and it is a free gift from God.
-
There is one law for both Jew and Gentile, the Law of Moses; the Torah. All who are the children of God share equally in all the privileges and responsibilities of the covenant into which He has brought them. God’s law is not only for ethnic Jews but, rather, it is to be followed by anyone who would attach themselves to the God of Israel.
-
We believe the Scriptures (both the Old and New Testament Scriptures) are clear in stating that the people of God are one people, and that the Torah (the teaching of God) is applicable to all who are in Yeshua, regardless of their ethnicity.
-
We believe that the Scriptures are verbally inspired by God through His Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) and are therefore without error in their original giving. They are God’s final and complete revelation to mankind in which His plan of salvation is unfolded, and they are the only absolute and final authority for all matters of belief and how followers of Christ should live.
-
We believe that the Torah (the first five books of the Bible) is the foundation of all subsequent revelation. We believe Yeshua came to establish the Torah in the hearts of all His people (not to abolish the Torah), and that when properly understood, the Torah consistently points to and reveals the Messiah. We believe the Torah reveals God’s pattern of righteous living for all of His people, regardless of ethnicity. Since the word “Torah” has a basic meaning of “teaching,” all of the inspired Scriptures (66 books) comprise the complete Torah revealed to mankind through God’s Prophets and Apostles.
-
Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiac, did not do away with the Law of Moses.
-
Matthew 5:17-20 – “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”

-
We strive to live in obedience to the Torah, not for salvation, but because it is good for us, and instructs how to love Adonai and our neighbor.
-
We believe that according to Yeshua’s own words and the words of Scripture, that He will return again at the appointed time and will gather together all who are truly His. He will reign upon the earth in Jerusalem from where He will teach the Torah and all who are His will walk in His ways.
-
We observe the Biblically mandated 7th day Sabbath, as well as all the Biblical Feasts and appointed times.
-
The New Covenant is defined as God giving us a new heart and a new Spirit so we can follow the Law of Moses.
-
Ezekiel 11:19-21 - “And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. But as for those whose heart goes after their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their deeds upon their own heads, declares the Lord GOD.”
-
Ezekiel 36:27 – “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”
-
Jeremiah 31:31-34 - “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
